The Lake James to Fontenelle Park Project is one of a series of projects in the Minne Lusa Basin intended to remove and/or control flows in the Combined Sewer System which will reduce the frequency, magnitude and duration of CSOs.
This project specifically is intended to separate portions of the upstream drainage basins to direct additional stormwater for detention in the improved Fontenelle lagoon. By completing separation in the area around the Fontenelle Lagoon, stormwater will be directed to the lagoon and will reduce the risk of basement backups and street flooding in the areas of construction.
The Lake James to Fontenelle Park Sewer Separation construction is anticipated to begin in the spring of 2018 to the south, west and north of Fontenelle Park.
